LYNNANN

Lynnann Residential Treatment Facility, Inc. program is designed to provide therapeutic comprehensive specialized residential service to 6 mentally impaired persons, who may have substance abuse problems, between the ages of eighteen through fifty-nine. The Lynnann Residential Treatment Facility, Inc. Home is located at 7474 LaSalle Blvd. in the City of Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.

The purpose of these services is to provide increased learning assistance, and independence to those same individuals who may be homeless, have histories of chronic antisocial behavior, substance abuse, and emotional impairment, who live in Wayne County and are referred from any health organization, private company, individual or insurance company.  These persons and their guardians accept placement voluntarily to work toward the specific goals of improving their level of functioning, which would enable the persons to move to a less restrictive environment, preferably their own home.

The specific learning objectives which will be targeted are: community safety skills, fire destination training, decreased maladaptive behavior, increased socialization skills, increased self care skills and appropriate verbal communication.  Built into the program will be the expectation of compliance with the Community Mental Health/Department of Mental Health Guidelines, as well as requirements established by the Department of Social Services and any other  laws or regulations governing the facility or program.

The services provided by the facilities program include a structured individualized treatment plan, structured milieu group living, 24-hour adult supervision, family focused treatment, monitoring of an educational program, and psychiatric consultation for each resident.  Parental involvement is an expectation and will be a focal point in working toward family reunification.  The average length of stay in this program is expected to be twelve (12) months.

The goal of this organization is for residents to become as self-sufficient as possible and for their needs to be met in a dignified and human manner.
